Kenny is a veteran teacher of 27 years. He has been teaching 8th grade ELA, U.S. History, and technology at Easterbrook Discovery School in the Moreland School District in San Jose, CA for the last 14 years. In addition to coaching boys and girls basketball, he has been the 8th grade leadership teacher for several years and a member of the district's Literacy Committee. Kenny is a site technology lead and member of the Moreland School District Technology Committee. He is also the district's technology Professional Learning Network instructor, assisting district colleagues in integrating technology into their instruction. He has also trained several colleagues in the implementation of Google Apps for Education in their classrooms and increased their use of technology as professionals and with their students.
Kenny is also a trainer for the KCI mini-MERIT program, a premier educational technology-focused professional development program for educators. He has presented throughout the bay area at various teacher conferences and workshops, instructing, training, and guiding educators on the implementation of technology in the classroom.
He is also author of the juvenile children's book The Card.
Outside of education, Kenny is a sports freak. He was a drummer for 20+ years but retired to become a teacher. He continues to stay engaged outside the classroom by doing private academic tutoring and drum instruction.
